"File not found" (*.ebn) error

Applies to: eBahn 3

A "file not found" (*.ebn) error message means that a required file is missing from your installation. There are several know reasons that this may have happened, each with a solution, as follows:

  • Audi C4 (eBahn version 3 prior to Edition 06): Some manufactured discs were missing repair manual content for the Audi 100, A6 1992-1998. To fix this issue, please perform an online update via the eBahn Reader -> "Updates" menu -> "Check Web For Updates"
  • VW T4 OBD II Additional Information (eBahn version 3 prior to and including Edition 06): Some manufactured discs were missing content for the Eurovan 1992-2003. To fix this issue, please perform an online update via the eBahn Reader -> "Updates" menu -> "Check Web For Updates"
  • Incomplete installation: If your vehicle platform is not one of those listed above, it is possible that your installation did not complete, or that one or more of your *.ebn files are missing or have become corrupt. If you suspect that this is the case, then your solution is to delete your eBahn folder (C:/Program Files/eBahn) and perform a complete reinstall from your DVD.
