It is possible to accidentally generate an incorrect activation key, which prevents you from completing a manual activation (an activation via the Member Center website)

When a you perform an offline (manual) activation via the website, the option to activate on an already registered computer provides a pulldown menu containing the computer nickname and Computer (device) IDs of all computers where eBahn products have been previously registered.


Here you might accidentally select one of the already registered computers, which then generated an activation key based on the Computer (device) ID of the computer you didn't want to install on.

You can activate the new serial number yourself via the Member Center. Be sure to select the correct computer for your installation.

  • identify which computer the activation is intended
